About Us
Based in Bellaire, Texas (Central Houston area); Luria Construction Company is a full service, insured custom builder and remodeler. Owner Aaron Lewis, a third-generation Houstonian, has been doing construction, renovations, and remodeling since 2004 and started Luria Construction in 2013 with the purpose of remodeling his own properties to sell. Due to the overwhelmingly positive response from the market his first project sold at the highest price per square foot in the neighborhood (and still holds this record in Meyerland today). Since the sale and completion of that property, he has now begun performing construction services for the public. He has partnered with his father, Myron, and the two of them along with their hardworking crew can take on any residential project remodeling or construction project, including flood restoration.
There is a special meaning behind the name and styling of the logo. As told by Aaron:
"My last name is Lewis, but when my father's side of the family immigrated here a few generations back, they came in through the port of Galveston. This is the interesting part — when my Great Grandfather came in, his last name was 'Lurie'. However, a typical practice that was done by customs officials is that they would change last names to make them easier to say and be more 'American'.
Thus my Great Grandfather came to be known as Joe Harry Lewis. So why is the company called Luria? Ever since I was 13 and did a family tree for a class project, I was under the impression that the spelling was Luria. When I formed my company entity I decided to use my family's former name 'Luria'. My father, Myron, was excited and looked up my Great Grandfather's admission document and discovered that the correct spelling was Lurie. By the time I found this out, I had formed my company so I decided to have our logo be a combination of an 'a' and an 'e'.
You could say our logo is similar to what we do for our clients. We take older properties and merge them with modern building concepts while doing it in a classical manner. "
“My goal with my business is to ensure I make my customers happy. If I tell someone we are going to do something, it's going to get done.”
